Rhoscolyn 2019 calendar

The ever popular Rhoscolyn Calendar for 2019 is going to be sold in aid of Cancer Research.

Anyone who has seen the charity’s commercial – with sick four year old, Adyan, being taken through a routine with his teacher – heads, noses, …… beans on toast – cannot help but to have been moved by it.

Thanks to research Adyan is now five and has returned to school which you will probably have seen in the sequel to this ad.  It is research that has helped achieve this transformation – so how could anyone not want to support Cancer Research?

So that is what we are doing with the 2019 Rhoscolyn calendar.  ALL the profit will go to Cancer Research.  And now is your chance to contribute by sending in photographs of Rhoscolyn, Four Mile Bridge and the surrounding area.

Last year the calendar raised £1100, rising to £1500 with gift aid, which was for the Rhoscolyn Lookout which now has a fine new roof thanks to all of you calendar supporters (see the NCI Rhoscolyn page of this website).

2019 will be the calendar’s 10th year – who would have though it would reach a decade?  Please do help us to make it a really bumper year for the calendar.  250 of the 2018 were sold.  Let’s beat it for the decade.

The brief is: Photographs must be obviously of Rhoscolyn or Four Mile Bridge. By which we mean that it must be immediately identifiable as having been taken in these areas. So a scenic shot of a hillside, cliff face or the sea, however beautiful, is not useable if it doesn’t have an obvious landmark in it*. They can be colour or black and white and the higher the resolution the better.

Send your pictures to the address in the footer – PLEASE put in as the subject matter of your email “2019 Rhoscolyn Calendar”.  Entries close on 1st September.

At which point you can start placing your orders – lots and lots please.  You can of course order yours sooner if you weant, but we wont know the price until then.

*Still send in all these beautiful pictures of Rhoscolyn and its surrounding area – you will see that we are not putting one or two on the front page of each month’s website update.
